Digital delivery
The licence is delivered digitally via the [Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Centre (VLSC)](https://www.microsoft.com) or the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre. The product key and provision documents are sent by email immediately after the purchase is completed.
Installation process
The ISO image is downloaded via the official Microsoft portal. Installation can be carried out as an in-place upgrade from Exchange 2019 or as a fresh installation on a supported Windows Server.
Activation process
The software is validated using the provided licence key either during setup or via the Exchange Management Shell. Permanent activation is achieved by linking to the Active Directory structure.
